Welcome Empowered Learning Transformation Centers – a small, fully accredited centers for students with learning disabilities or differences. Empowered Learning Transformation Centers has been successfully teaching students with language-based and learning disabilities to “learn how to learn.” Our “family style” 24/7 school is uniquely designed to foster independence and responsibility. Where other centers have failed students, ELTC delivers success. Empowered Learning Transformation Centers students go on to college, find fulfilling careers, and become successful entrepreneurs.

 

Delivering a Holistic Individualized Special Education

Empowered Learning Transformation Centers has been successfully educating children and teenagers with learning disabilities for more than thirty years. This experience has shown that a boarding school environment is the most effective way for students with learning disabilities to achieve their full potential. Empowered Learning Transformation Centers offers extensive individualized support to monitor and care for students during and after their academic day is finished. Empowered Learning Transformation Centers class sizes range from 1 to 8 students with the addition of after-school tutoring if needed or requested by parents. An assortment of activities are scheduled for students after their school day, which maintains structure, social interactions, and countless teachable moments for our students. This approach to educating students with LDs addresses the whole student, not just one component. By attending to the students’ social, emotional, and academic needs, in combination with a family-style boarding school, Empowered Learning Transformation Centers success and student outcomes continually raise the bar in New Jersey education.

Empowered Learning Transformation Centers  Summer Program

Student enrolled at Empowered Learning Transformation Centers  Preparatory School’s Summer Program come with a variety of challenges to academic, social or emotional success including, but not limited to Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Nonverbal Learning Disability (NLD), Communication Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorders, Processing and Memory Deficits, Tourette Syndrome, Anxiety, and Specific Learning Disability; defined as a disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or in using language, spoken or written, that may manifest itself in an imperfect ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell, or to do mathematical calculations, including conditions such as perceptual disabilities, brain injury, minimal brain dysfunction, dyslexia, and developmental aphasia.

In addition to its full complement of programming, Empowered Learning Transformation Centers  is offering Program to its students. The Program is founded on neuroscience research and over 30 years of experience demonstrating that it is possible for students to strengthen the weak cognitive capacities underlying their learning dysfunctions through a program of specific cognitive exercises.(1)  The Program identifies, intervenes and strengthens the weak cognitive capacities that affect learning. Students are able to capitalize on their increased learning capacities, and after work in the program, it is not uncommon for students to function without special education assistance or program accommodations. The Program has proven effective for students having difficulty with reading, writing, and mathematics, comprehension, logical reasoning, problem-solving, visual and auditory memory, non-verbal learning, attention, processing speed and dyslexia.
