Empowered Learning Transformation Centers is a behavioral health center dedicated to improving all aspects of brain health with individualized, innovative and quality care. We have two locations: in New Jersey. We treat people who are struggling with common conditions that interfere with their quality of life, relationships, and careers. These problems include ADD/ADHD, Addictions, Depression, Panic Attacks/Anxiety, Autism, Insomnia and many more. By focusing on change at the brain level through biofeedback, neurofeedback, and cognitive behavioral therapy a lot of our patients are able to reduce or discontinue medication. We all have the ability to strengthen and increase our brainpower by creating new connections throughout the brain. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a common type of talk therapy that helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can face challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. The first step is to help people become aware of when they make negative interpretations and act on them with negative behavioral actions that reinforces the distorted thinking.
We utilize different treatment techniques teaching you to eliminate the negative self talk that produces irrational behavior. We teach you to learn to discriminate between your own thoughts and the actual events that occurred in reality, helping you to get the facts straight. The thought is, the most direct route to changing dysfunctional emotions and behaviors is to modify the inaccurate and faulty thinking.
Research shows CBT to be the first line of treatment for anxiety and depression. We have developed an action based program that involves clear identification of the problem, establishing attainable goals, using emphatic communication, frequent feedback, and reality checks, to sustain positive behavioral change and growth. This program can be used in many different situations.
CBT is an effective tool to help anyone learn how to better manage stressful life situations and take their performance to the next level. The optimal mental state includes feeling completely in control, relaxed and confident with a narrow focus of attention.
