About the Center
There is no single test to diagnose ADHD. A detailed history, as well as various psychological and educational tests, are most often used to determine whether someone is suffering from the disorder.
Additionally, since many other disorders may mimic ADHD, it is important to rule out or correctly diagnose other conditions that may be contributing to a patient’s behavioral and learning difficulties. Each of our patients can expect the following diagnostic evaluations:
Patient evaluations by board certified physicians; including comprehensive history, and physical and neurological examinations
Psychological testing and neuropsychological testing
Psychiatric consultation (if indicated)
Evaluation of performance and previous assessments
Collaboration and on-going communication with schools to ensure essential implementation of plans and services
Patients should feel secure knowing this diagnostic workup is the standard of care as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, National Institute of Mental Health, and the American Academy of Child Psychiatry.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is the most commonly diagnosed condition in children today.
At Empowered Learning Transformation Centers, we provide the diagnosis and treatment plan you need to cope more easily with the day-to-day realities of attention problems. Through our comprehensive diagnostic process, we can also help to identify other conditions such as learning disorders and autism spectrum.
We evaluate patients in a professional setting where medical, educational, and psychiatric services are provided by one skilled team. We diagnose and manage attention-related issues, and our comprehensive-care approach has been clinically proven to result in successful outcomes.
A comprehensive facility dedicated to attention disorders
Attention disorders affect children at home, school, and at play. Often, these types of disorders can cause difficulty interacting with others, resulting in feelings of isolation. Similarly, adults with ADD/ADHD may encounter problems at work and school.
